About Buttock Implant Surgery

The popularity of buttock augmentation surgery has increased over time, with many women wanting to achieve an hourglass figure for a more attractive appearance. Although the majority of the patients are females, this cosmetic procedure also appeals to men who are unhappy with the underdeveloped form and size of their butts.

Buttock augmentation surgery makes it possible for individuals with poorly formed butts to get the curvier, fuller, and larger figure they have always wanted. Not only does the procedure give them their ideal bodies, but it also boosts their self-confidence and self-esteem in so many ways.

The surgical procedure can be done in three methods: butt implants, fat transfer, and a combination of implants and fat transfer. Dr. Javaheri will be the one to assess and advise which method works best for you, based on your cosmetic goals.

Why Choose Buttock Implant Surgery?

There are many reasons to go under the knife, with most of them doing it for the sake of physical attractiveness. Whether people have problems with the natural flatness of their buttocks, or they notice shrinkage or sagginess due to weight loss or aging, many find the perfect solution in buttock augmentation surgery.

If you are also conscious about the small frame of your buttocks, you may want to consider consulting with Dr. Javaheri to see if buttock augmentation surgery works well for you.

Are You a Buttock Augmentation Surgery Candidate?

In order for you to be considered as an ideal candidate for buttock augmentation surgery, you must at least:

  • Be physically healthy
  • Be mentally prepared for the outcome
  • Have problems with the shape and size of your buttocks
  • Have a good idea of what shape and size of your buttocks that you wish to have

What to Expect During Your Butt Implant Surgery Consultation?

During your consultation with Dr. Javaheri, you will be asked to talk about your goals and expectations. Your medical background is one of the most important factors in deciding whether you are eligible for buttock augmentation surgery. You will be required to provide details about the following:

  • Past and present medical conditions
  • Previous surgeries, if any
  • Allergies
  • Present medications

As part of the consultation, Dr. Javaheri will examine and take photos of your buttocks. He will assess the size and shape of your butt and your skin’s quality, after which he will decide on what method of augmentation is most appropriate for you.

Other things he will discuss involve the cost of buttock augment surgery, its potential health risks, and instructions prior to and after the day of your operation. Make sure to pay attention to everything he tells you.

Buttock Implant Surgery: Procedure Explanation

Unlike most cosmetic procedures, buttock augmentation surgery can be done in three different ways: implants, fat transfer, or a combination of both. Patients are given the option to choose their desired method, with Dr. Javaheri also making a recommendation based on your body shape and aesthetic goals.

Butt Implants – Gluteal Implants

The use of implants is best for individuals with poorly defined rear ends due to limited fatty tissue in their gluteal area. As such, this procedure is not advisable for patients with sagging buttocks due to weight loss.

During the entirety of the operation, you will be placed under general anesthesia. Incisions will be made, usually in the crease of your buttocks. Dr. Javaheri proceeds to create a pocket large enough for the implants to fit. Once he sees no flaw or asymmetry, he makes sutures on the incisions.

This procedure usually takes two to three hours and is mostly on an outpatient basis. Once the operation is done, patients are allowed to go home.

Fat Transfer to Butt

Also known as the Brazilian butt lift, this buttock augmentation method is the preferred choice of Dr. Javaheri. Unlike the butt implant procedure, the Brazilian butt lift takes a longer time to finish, usually three to four hours. This involves the removal of fat tissues from one or more areas of your body and injecting them into your gluteal region.

The operation begins with liposuction, which is intended to take excess fats from certain areas needed for your buttocks. Common areas include the stomach, thighs, waist, and the lower back. Dr. Javaheri will then process and purify the fats before transferring them to your buttocks through the use of syringes.

The fats will be injected into different layers and areas of your buttocks to achieve a natural and smoother look. As with buttock implant surgery, you will be given anesthesia.

Combo Butt Implants & Fat Transfer to Butt

There are patients who are not satisfied with just the use of implants or fat transfer alone. They would even prefer to combine both procedures to make sure that they achieve a well-defined yet natural-looking rear end. If you happen to feel the same way, you might as well go for this method of buttock augmentation surgery.

The procedure starts with the butt implant method to give you fuller and rounder buttocks. The fat transfer follows after, with Dr. Javaheri using the fat as a new layer to insulate the implant. The fat is also used to add volume to areas the implant was unable to augment.

Although this cosmetic method will take more effort and time, you will certainly not be disappointed with the results.

What to Expect After Your Buttock Implant Surgery?

Right after your buttock augmentation surgery, regardless of the methods used, you will be placed in a recovery area for monitoring. Expect your gluteal area to be wrapped in a dressing or bandages. Swelling and feelings of tightness are also normal.

Your Buttock Augmentation Surgery Recovery Process

The recovery process may take longer in the gluteal area since most body movement involves the use of this body part. The day after your operation, you are required to stay in bed with the support garment on.

Also important to note is the fact that you are not permitted to sit for the first ten days, with the exception of toilet use. You will be instructed to sit with a pillow for at least eight weeks so as to avoid pressure in the buttocks area.

The duration of the recovery process will vary on the buttock augmentation surgery used, although most of the after-effects are similar.

Butt Implants

For two to three weeks, you will still be wearing the support garment in order to keep the enhanced buttocks tightly secured. On the third week, you can already sit and drive, provided that there is a soft pillow. Stretching exercises are also encouraged to condition your buttocks.

It usually takes three months for you to see the final results of this form of buttock augmentation surgery. By that time, you will no longer experience pain.

Fat Transfer to Butt

Dr. Javaheri will recommend you avoid prolonged sitting for the first two weeks of your preoperative period. Also, you will be advised to sleep face down or in a sideway position.

With this procedure, you can resume normal activities and exercise after approximately eight weeks.

Combo Butt Implants & Fat Transfer to Butt

The recovery process for this surgical method also takes about eight weeks to complete. As in the cases of the other two buttock augmentation procedures, you are instructed to wear your support garment for two to three weeks.

Sitting with the use of a pillow, sleeping face down or sideways, and careful movement are among the important things you must remember.

Possible Buttock Augmentation Surgery Complications

As with any other cosmetic procedure, buttock augmentation surgery can bring possible threats to your health. Common complications include infection, bleeding, nerve damage, scarring, and adverse reactions to anesthesia.

Butt Implants

By deciding to undergo butt implant surgery, be aware of the following consequences:

  • Implant rupture
  • Implant shift
  • Opening of the incisions leading to the removal of implants
  • Fluid accumulation

Fat Transfer to Butt

Since fat transfer is a more intricate procedure, complications may include:

  • Blood clots
  • Fluid shifts
  • Complications from liposuction
  • Asymmetry
  • Fat necrosis

Combo Butt Implants & Fat Transfer to Butt

In this case, it is only necessary that you consider complications from both butt implant surgery and fat transfer.

The possibility of encountering these complications is minimal, especially if you follow the doctor’s order. With a trained surgeon like Dr. Javaheri taking care of you, risks are very much unlikely to happen.
