peelingChemical Exfoliation (also known as a chemical peel) is a process used to improve skin tone and texture, diminish fine lines, reduce brown spots and treat acne. Chemical peels are great for re-texturing and brightening the skin for a fresh new look. Treatments can be applied to the face, neck and chest to even color tone. It is not effective on lax skin, sagging skin, severe wrinkles or deep scars.*

Improvement is gradual. While a single peel will firm and freshen the skin, leaving a healthy glow, most clients should plan on a series of 5 to 6 peels to achieve their long-term goals. Acne-prone skin may require more treatments. The treatments can be performed at 2 to 4 week intervals, gradually increasing the intensity of the peel as the skin builds tolerance. Many times a layered effect of one or more peels can achieve faster results. Results are generally long lasting, although an occasional peel helps to maintain the beneficial effects. Our staff is trained and certified in using PCA chemical peels, the best in the industry. Our medical aesthetician and Dr. Javaheri will design a peel regimen to fit the needs of your skin.*

Superficial peels usually involve redness the day of the procedure followed by sloughing for 3 to 5 days. More aggressive peels can be associated with longer periods of exfoliation.*
